QUICK REQUIREMENT CHECK
Do you likely need a Local Agent?
Answer two simple questions using the City’s published guidance. CLEInspection will confirm the details before accepting an appointment.

One managed service. One annual price.
CLEInspection prepares the standard appointment, receives and forwards properly addressed City notices, and monitors selected public records through Property Watch.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you enroll.
Can I serve as my own Local Agent?
If the owner is an individual human being residing in Cuyahoga County or a neighboring county, the City’s guidance says that person may generally designate themselves. Entity ownership and other circumstances may require a separate person.
What if my property is owned by an LLC?
The Local Agent must be a human being. The City form separately identifies entity ownership and requires a person to accept the designation. CLEInspection confirms the ownership details during setup.
Is CLEInspection my property manager?
No. Local Agent service does not include leasing, rent collection, tenant communication, routine maintenance, bookkeeping, or everyday property management.
Are repairs, fines, and City fees included?
No. Government charges, fines, repairs, contractors, permits, property visits, legal services, and extensive compliance work are separate.
Does payment immediately complete my City appointment?
No. The owner and Local Agent must complete the agreement and City affidavit, provide required documents, and finish the City filing process. CLEInspection confirms when the appointment has been completed.
Can a Local Agent withdraw?
Yes. Cleveland’s overview says a Local Agent may withdraw by giving written notice to the Director of Building and Housing, while remaining responsible for matters arising before withdrawal. The CLEInspection agreement also controls the private service relationship.
